Not really, but "Amarillo by noonish, over from Graham" doesn't have the same ring to it. I'm shooting to be in Cheyenne by dark. It's going to be a LONG day with some 900 miles of driving!
Well, the incident with the sheared studs on the trailer wound up costing me almost 4 hours. It was 1:15 before I rolled out of Dumas. :nonono: I do believe I encountered the dumbest clerk ever in an O'Reilly's too. But I'm back on track now. Almost to New Mexico.
You gotta love the western panhandle of Texas though. 99 degrees, I have a super-smooth nearly deserted divided highway, goats in the road, & the radio cycles endlessly when you hit "seek."
Sonofa......... So I'm gassing up in Walsenburg, CO. I go back to check all the lug nuts on the trailer, only to discover that my license plate has vibrated off somewhere between there and Dumas. Dammit. I had the front plate off my car in the trunk, so I put it on as a stop-gap.
