Anyone want to help me do a swap?

My motor crapped out, I think it's a spun bearing. It's currently for sale in the CEG classifieds, but I probably won't get what I'm asking for it or anywhere near asking price. I may just swap a new motor in it and sell it then, so if anyone has done a contour/svt swap and would be willing to help I would greatly appreciate it.

I do not have many funds, so unlimited beer will be provided and I can pay like $100 on top of that. (The last few swaps I've done on Hondas were pretty fun, so if anyone helps me, I hope it's because they enjoy working on cars, hanging out, and having a good time..) I have all of the tools including a cherry picker, so you don't have to worry about bringing/losing tools. This would probably be done either in my garage, or maybe at one of my friend's houses. If needed I can rent a storage locker for a month and do it there. Let me know if anyone would be willing to help me out with this...

I'm currently in school and have classes everyday, so it would have to be done on a weekend. (Or multiple weekends if needed.) The car is located in Deerfield, which is a suburb about 30-45 minutes north of downtown Chicago.

Email me if interested... Thanks!

I go to DePaul University. I have an apartment downtown but my parents' house is up in Deerfield which is where the car is.

I've already received several calls/emails/pm's for my car, but I doubt anyone will want to give me near my asking price. I think I would be willing to drop to $2,500, but any lower than that and I might as well just do a swap.

If I do a swap I'm probably just going to go with a stock svt block or a 3L, with no work needing to be done. I just want to put something in it to make it drive, thanks though.

I also have a complete svt block. It just needs to be put back together . But its been cleaned, cylinders honed, heads cleaned and shaved, crank polished and with new clevites - rod and mains waiting to go on. I thought I was supposed to come see it this Saturday though. Whats up? I was going to throw my block in it. Would probably only take me another two years or so.

My advice, even though I'm biased because I'm interested in buying your car. If you're "low on funds" just sell it (to me). No really, sell it to whoever. This project can cost you cash left and right.

If you do decide to do the swap you may want to double whatever you think your budget is. And if you need help with it, I could spare a Saturday afternoon and give you a hand.

I should have a full svt motor sans intake manifolds in the coming month. 90k miles

Let me know if you're interested.

Stock, never disassembled, running motor? No need for the intakes, I just need the bottom and top ends.

Never been taken apart, Ill be putting a fresh crank seal on it too. I can deliver it to you for a price too. Its in my car right now, just need to pull it :)
