Bosal Exhaust

Bosal Exhaust

I have had it on my 2000 for about 2 years and I am very happy. I also have the Y pipe. It is fairly loud, but sounds strong - not at all tinny or soup-can sounding. It gets lots of attention and the polished version looks very nice. I just short shift past police. It is deep tones, so good for setting off alarms in parking garages.

Thanks for the input Rich. I was browsing through the BAT catalog earlier and I came across it. What would you compare it to loudness-wise? Flowmaster/Magnaflow/Borla? I was thinking of getting the Bosal catback and the BAT y-pipe...but I don't want it to sound ricey, that is the big thing. I want a nice deep/low tone. It is either this or I am going for a trubendz/borla combo....

A local CEG'er has it on his SVT, with MSDS headers/y-pipe and it sounds great. If I wouldnt of found my Bassani for such a good price thats the one I was looking at.

Cool, thanx Tropic. I think that I will go for the Bosal over the trubendz. I think the Bosal looks nice and you can also put baffles in it if it is too loud...that is a plus for me. Thanks for the input guys.

I have them on my car for like 2,500 miles. I am very pleased. It sounds deep and throaty. However I did get the silencer inserts because a lot of time I need to get out of the house by 6:00 am and I don't want to wake up all the neighbors. I got the silerncer inserts from SP Motorsports. Joe arrange the drop shipment from Bosal's NJ warehouse. You need the 10" ones not 14" ones. They cost like $20 each, very easy to install. The result? Slightly quieter but still throaty and deep. During normal driving it's not too loud.

And I think they are the best looking tips on the SVT.

loudest of the catbacks (with resonaters), sounds pretty damn good. If your planning on doing headers.. id probably stay away as it will be pretty loud. Thats why i went with the Trubendz Magnaflow.

Hmm...do you think that they would still be obnoxious with the headers WITH the silencers installed? I like the look of the Bosal exhaust and I really want a deep, throaty tone, but I am looking into getting headers and I don't want that to be a problem. And I second that notion to get a pic of a CSVT with the Bosal exhaust.

i've heard its pretty damn loud.

I'll get some video up of my setup (weapon R headers, Weapon R y-pipe, Trubendz resonated Magnaflow) and you can hear what it sounds like. I think i might have a Bosal video somewhere on my comp..

I have some pics at home. I will upload them to photobucket when I get home.

Without the silencer inserts, it's very obvious for the droning which could be annoying. After the silencer, I don't feel that any more. So silencer is a must for me.

I plan to have the factory headers gutted. I am not sure whether it will become unbearable. Stay tuned!

Yeah Mike, ive heard yours...but yours is Borla and I am inquiring about Bosal...haha. And sweet Tourige, I appreciate it.

Thanks for the vid, I think that exhaust sounds really good. I like how deep it sounds and that didn't sound too loud to me... Was that with or without the silencers...I don't know if you specified that or if you were making a statement...haha. I am sure the video doesn't really do it full justice, but I think that sounded great. Thank you for video!

Yes and Yes

Yes and Yes

Yes, those are original tips, they are really really nice, I like the cut edge. I'm embarrassed that they were so dirty. I have the silencers on them, without it is really really loud. All alarms in the parking garage!

I've got headers and an optimized Y pipe. I listened to the video, and it really sounds better (without the wind noise) standing behind it.

I have to say the bolt together application was great, non svt's need to get the passengar side hanger for about 20 from the dealership. I also used tighter hangars to keep the exhaust from hanging too low. It was made for the SVT rear skirt package.

My favorite looking exhaust for a good price.
Pete
