I had a problem with this on a past CSVT and the current car just did it for the first time today. Both were '98 E1s with over 90k, no engine mods. When coasting along at low speeds (think parking lot), I'll put the car into neutral, turn the wheel, and gently apply the brakes while aiming for a parking spot and the car will stall half way into the turn. It's also happened a few times while making turns in traffic. I'm thinking it's a combination of the power steering, brake system, and sudden RPM drop off from putting the car into neutral that conspire to bog the engine, but there's got to be something about one of those systems that's putting too much strain on it and causing it to die. Any ideas?
