1999 V6 sport wont charge battery.

New power wire from alternator to 175a mega fuse. Fuse is good ive tried with 3 new mega fuses all good.
2 brand new alternators tested at auto parts store after install and taking it out. New battery as well.
Story goes like this It was charging fine drove 1000 miles with new alternator then the 175amp wire mysteriously fell onto exhaust manifold melted wiring. Put new good power wire and new 175a fuse box and drive it home charged good. Took it out for a spin next day nd gauges stopped mph,rpms,temp gauge etc...even all the lights dont work on the gauge cluster nothing shows when turning the key airbag, check engine,brake etc nothing, drove it home and fuse is good but not charging jacked car up and single wire had broken clip pushed it back in and nothing,ordered a new single wire clip still nothing changed. So i order a new alternator still nothing. Tested alternators at parts store they are good. Mechanic tested every wire and they are all good im stumped and help would be great. Thanks this car runs great has ac but with every thing new it wont charge and complete gauge cluster is out. Checked all fuses and none are blown
