Any else have a CSVT with bad paint? I just got mine about a month and a half ago and the Paint sucks on it. there are lil tiny spider cracks all over the clear coat on my car. I have a Freind getting back from Wyotech in a couple weeks and he's going to repaint the whole car for me, but I was just wondering if anyone else's CSVT has had this porb?

+1

I need to get my car repainted badly. My car was hit twice though and some areas did get brand new paint. The only really bad area now is my roof.

Ford sucked on painting the black Contiques.

Mine has a trick flake job :nonono::

My girlfriend's black 2000 Mustang is the same way. The roof has horrible rust spots from the paint having cracked and flaked off. I think it is a general Ford problem, not just Contours.:bah:

The front end of my car is horrible with pitting and chipping, though the rest is flawless. Repainting the front end next spring and it'll be good as new ;)

me 02 cougar has been hit in the back, hardly can tell but its crackin and doin the cool spider from their to the other end of my lower grill. major lame:(

Ford doesn't had bad paint compared the the late modle Chevys, lol, now thats bad. My bro graduated from Wyotech, exelent school. My front bumper doesn't exactly have the greatest paint, I'm going to get it painted this spring.. Hopefully I can get this differential swap done by then :p

My black 99 SVT has a fair amount of spidering on the roof and trunk. It's hard to notice, but definitely a concern.

mine was starting to crows feet on the trunk. i repainted it now so it looks great. what class is you friend in at wyotech, im in high performance. i wish i was graduating now but i got 3 more months.

Hehe, my bro graduated from there a couple months ago, drove a lifted red Chevy pickup on 33" BFG's. Did a lot of off roading and snowmobiling.

Very common problem on the black Probes as well.

^^^ i would have to agree; my paint is not looking so great

my car is a new england car and behind the front wheels from all the debrit being kicked-up has made the paint look so bad it looks dirty all the time. i pointed out to a fellow csvt owner that its not mud behind the wheels, there is just no paint there

Could be tar - that's what it was on my car. It is removable but a PITA to do so.

In general, I think dark colored cars will have more problems with paint. The absorb more heat and any imperfections show up more pronounced (whether it is scratches or flaked off paint). :blackeye:
