For some reason only the driver's side Door Unlock/lock switch will not work at all...

It lights up, but no lock or unlock from it...
The remote works pefectly fine, and I can manually lock and unlock the car door...

I tested three other switches in the same spot, none of them worked, but they all worked on the passenger side...

Fuse is good, too. So I am wondering if anyone else has come across this issue with just one interior door lock/unlock switch?

I haven't jumped the pins yet, but I was trying to get a voltage reading through any of the pinouts, but got nothing with the ignition at both power and run positions...

Just started about 2 months ago, and all wiring looks like it is suposed to, and I haven't done anything to any of the doors at all...

Any info on where to start would be a big help. Thanks.

I had a similar problem with my 95. With mine though, the interior lock/unlock button would get stuck midway. When I activated it by hand, it wouldn't unlock the other doors like it was supposed to. I replaced the electronic door lock mechanism inside of the door and it fixed this problem. I've also heard from at least one other person, that they are now having trouble getting into their car, from the outside or the INSIDE now. On my 99, I have to lift the outside handle "just right" to get it to operate. I'm thinking that these internal parts of these mechanisms are starting to wear out on these cars.

After rereading your post, I see you're having trouble with the small U/L switch not the mechanism above the handle. Sorry. The mechanism might still be something to look at though, while you're in there.

check the wire harness that plugs into your door for corrosion. Just give the hard plastic part a twist and it will pull off. Also make sure that the harness that plugs into the switch doesnt have any of the contacts bent in to far.

Yeah, I checked all of that too... no luck.

I will have to try and jumper the pinouts in the connector to see if I can lock or unlock the door that way, and then maybe that will lead me in the right direction.
