Had an annoying thing happen the other day. The Heat / A/C fan blower only worked on high speed. The resistor was the culprit.

Where located: Beneath the glove box (remove padding in footwell [three plastic fasteners]) against the fire wall left of blower motor

A one torx screw repair and good as new!

^^the slip says $23.16

Too bad everything wasn't this easy to fix!

Cavaliers are notorious for eating these resistors, located underneath the dash on the passenger side, total PITA!!

I just replaced mine, too. It was cracked, very brittle, but not broken. My culprit was the pigtail - two wires had no insulation left, and the other two were melted through. I replaced both - the pigtail was $25 at O'Reilly's, in stock.

Yep, the price was $21.49 plus tax at our local parts company. I think you can get for between $17-30 online. Very easy fix. When removed, mine was very brittle and cracked.

Mine failed the other day too. Luckily I was able to pull the one out of my parts car for free. Looked brand new and not black and crispy like the old one.
