Well, after casually serching for a while now, I finally found what I was looking for in an SVT... The car is one owner, 112k miles, synthetic oil since break-in, all service records, the works. Downside, the car needs to be cleaned up inside and out. Also, one of the shops that did the work bent the rear trailing arms. So, once it's cleaned up and I replace the rear trailing arms replaced, it should be a pretty solid car. I did drive it around a little, engine and trans are solid, no unusual noises or anything. The car is completely STOCK... right down to the stock stereo and the hood liner...

Anyways, enough typing, on with the pics... :D

Oh, i'm thinking of doing a silver production number decal on the front bumper. I've got a set of 5-spoke FSVT's that will go on the car and think this combo would look good together. I'm assuming I need to PM parkedcar for this?

I also have to call SVT to find out what the production number is. When I got the car today it was too late to call or shoot any more pics. I'll get more pics up once the car is cleaned up!

Picked it up for a steal at $2k. The car was on ebay and didn't sell. I saw the end of the auction and sent him a message. I'm sure people were scared off by the rear trailing arms being bent. But after talking to the owner I was very comfortable that it was just a shop dicking around with the guy when they were working on it.

As a bonus it came with 4 15" wheels with snow tires and an extra, updated fuel pump... :D

I'm jealous I've been looking for one that needs an engine for a while now and I can't even find one of those for under 2k... At least not one thats not over 1000 miles away

Nice find ;) If by Rear trailing arms they're referring to the toe control arms thats nothing those are the ones easily bent, I think they get bent from people trying to jack the car up there :troutslap: as there isn't much framework back there that you can lift the car with. If they're actually referring to the ones that run the long direction on the car I don't know how they bent those

I got mine for $2K from a CEG'er in the cities. ;)

I whish i had the $2k when i wanted to go look at it... congats... clean it up and stop by the car show at the wegmans on lyell ave on saturday, i posted details in the NE section

Why is hard for people to wash wheels when they wash the car?!!!!! Hope you can get them clean.

I know that blue SE....

Andy did you move since i was at your house... like 2 years ago lol.

I don't know why its so hard to do that. It makes me sick to see cars where people don't clean the wheels... Oh well... I think they'll clean up, I washed one of them yesterday night before I pulled it in and it cleaned up fairly well. I'll pull them off the car, claybar them and throw a coat of wax on them.

Same house Brett, that's at his house. It was pouring when he brought the car over.

I'd love to head out to the car show but the car won't be on the road yet. I've still gotta throw on the new trailing arms and get it cleaned up. I'm not going put the car on the road for about another week. Only because once I do that, it'll be back down to one car and I want to be able to take my time and get this car cleaned up nicely...

Seems a lot of people are buying SVTs this month! Congrats, black on tan is awesome.

Andy you SOB, I knew you'd finally snag one. It's only been, you know, two years or more since I last saw you! I was actually in Rochester recently with a friend for an interview. If I had time I would have stopped by.

Get it cleaned up and do some mods!

Yep, car was on ebay and was in Webster, NY...

Don't worry about the mods Bill, I've already been talking with parkedcar about some vinyl and maybe one of those fancy "domed" emblems he's now making...

We really haven't had any meets in a while.... Hmm... Head over to the NE section, i'll make a post about getting a meet together... Maybe I can talk someone into buying the Mystique at the meet... :D

But, other than that, this car is so unmolested, I hate to start tearing into it. Hell, it doesn't even have the fog light mod done to it... The hoodliner is still there... :D

I added an SVT's hoodliner (bought from Classifieds) to my Mystique, to make it a little quieter. Had to trim it a little. Why is it popular to remove it? Just for cleaner looks or less heat buildup?
