Well, after going a year without my pride and joy modded 99 SE, and driving a basicly stock 95 Mystique V6 MTX that burns a little oil, I decided to take the plunge and get something nice again. I happened upon a 2000 SVT on craigslist owned by a CEG'er for the right price and bam, now I'm an SVT owner. Here's some pics....the car is diviniti's old car.
Here are a couple pics with my Mystique just after we picked it up, dirty cause it rained a bit.

And then a few from yesterday after a quick wash at work.

and then just because I've never posted pics, the Mystique, 95 V6 MTX 4 wheel disc brakes, all 3 cats gutted.

The SVT will be undergoing some rather rapid modding in the next couple weeks as items from my dead SE get transfered over. It already has a stock style cf hood, which will be replaced soon by my evo style cf hood. It also came with a set of 18's, but I need to get new rubber before I can put those on. Other things that will be getting swapped over are my aussie bar, BAT suspension, grille with Elky mesh (I need to get mesh for the bumpers though), and eventually maybe my Corbeau seats. Have a few little issues to fix as well but there are no surprises, diviniti was VERY straightforward about what was needed on the car. Maybe the most up front honest guy I've dealt with. So, feel free to comment , all comments welcome as long as they're constructive. Guess I'll be changing my screen name now.

Congrats Shawn, the car looks pretty good:cool: I'd go with NORMICHSVT, this way the first part still connects you to your more established name. Looking forward to seeing the modded version. One question though, are you going to look for some Cougar rear seats and wrap them in tan leather for the rear of this Tour:shrug:

Congratulations!

I know exactly where this one (and a few others) were taken:

We filled up at that station on our way to SZ. That's a crazy arse intersection(s). :help:

owch those are some high gas prices. Its like .40 cheap here...

Cheap Gas

Cheap Gas

Wow, you guys are lucky I think it is like $3.04 or $3.14 around me, and that is about $0.30 cheaper than what is has been recently.

Man, that thing looks like a POS.
 little sad to see it go, but what replaces it will make it all better.

Glad to see you took the time to take the wheels out of the back seat. lol

Edit: Yes, he got jack caps with the car. (minus one). heh

It looks like it's only a rotary .. what's crazy about it?

-- congrats on the SVT! My second favorite color combo ... beautiful.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I don't know exactly what interchange that is but it is off of 23, and yes it is kinda crazy. I'm OK with roundabouts, but that's the first time I've had to do 2 back to back like that.
I've already put on my evo style hood, though I need to adjust it a bit more to get the fitment proper, and I put the 3 jack covers I have in. diviniti also gave me a set of tires to go on the stock wheels which I mounted up last night and gave the nitrogen treatment, I just wish I could afford some tires for the 18's, it's killin me having the wheel and no tires. I'll have to watch the used tire stack at work for some BMW discards, that's where I got my last couple sets of 17's, lol.
Next up I hope to slap on a new lower control arm and wheel bearing on the right side, hopefully tomorrow since I have the day off, if the shop isn't too busy and I can get on a hoist, and maybe even my BAT suspension and the reinforced rear subframe with Aussie bar. I've got a lot of parts swappin to do.

tint the rear tails, all the red is annoying! I am not sure you have enough tire on those wheels for the derby, maybe go an inch bigger and run 35's! LOL!

Looking good!

Brent
