I am tinting the tail lights next week with night shades and I wanted to see if anyone could give me any tips on it to do the job right. Also, I wanted to know how you take off the rear reflector and reverse lights off the car.

Thanks

Theres a How-To for this!!!!!!!

Just kidding

It's very very easy. It's just studs with nuts on the ends. 3 per tail light and about 6 on the reflector. Remove the nuts and pull until the seals loosen up and the lights slide off.

Tip: Soak the hell out of the 2 end nuts on each side of the reflector with PB Blaster or WD-40. They are the only ones that get rusty and the stud holds onto the reflector very weak in those spots. If you try to loosen without it, they studs break the reflector and spin and spin and move nowhere.

lol you love how i ask if theres always a how-to for everything dont you. sounds like a good plan. didnt wana chance breaking the dumb thing n then having to make a trip out to the junkyard,

Yes its very easy, I have removed mine probably about 30 times, and it takes about 4 minuites to remove.

It's extremely easy and quick, but like Tony said, be VERY CAREFUL with the two end nuts. The studs are held by plastic ridges and they are stupid fragile. I've got 2 or 3 reflectors with various paint schemes and one has the broken plastic. I've used different epoxys and I think, even JB Weld and even after roughing the plastic up, they all came loose. So the answer is, don't break it.

I didnt soak mine in WD-40 when i was switching to my CF Trunk and It came off fairly easy.... But they did have lots of rust on them compared to the ones in the middle.

Take it easy and you should be fine....Good Luck and post some pics when your done.

I've tried all different methods to get it to hold and none worked until something new I tried recently.

Heat up a soldering iron, line up the stud in the right spot and melt all the plastic surrounding it. Holds nice and tight and fixed both sides for me.
