How do I remove those little plastic plugs that hold the plastic inner wheel well

covering to the front fenders.

I can't pop them out. They seem to be threaded, but there is no slot in the head for a screw driver.

I ned to get these damn things off to get the fenders off, but so far I am stymied. :mad:

They pull straight out - they're not threaded - they have little 'fins' that hold them in.

Just use a flathead screwdriver to get the first few 'fins' loose and then pull them out with a pair of plyers.
 
I made this little tool to get those plugs out.

Its just a piece of metal that I cut a small slit into and bent. Its saved me many times and its much easier than a screwdriver. It doesnt tear them up either.

This is the correct tool to remove those push tabs. Husky sells one, snap-on sells one. These are pics of one of mine. If you can't find it, let me know, I can purchase some and ship them out for a fair price.
