iac valve ford parts online

has anyone ever ordered an iac/isc valve from ford parts online?

i'm not even sure if they have it...cant find it anywhere.

how about u call them n find out. a second option is calling bill jenkins (702)395-5173. sometimes, they'll have it on the website but not physically. for example ford has discontinued our EGR valves. so we now have to scalp around for those. SUCKS!!! :nonono:

yea, i was gonna call them tomorrow (no one answeres the phone at night...)

just wondering if someone knew off hand or could possibly provide another good place to get the latest revision one.

I bought one before from autozone but now a year later my throttle hang came back.

btw. i just ordered a brand new egr valve off ford parts online for 50 bucks 2 weeks ago...and not from someone in a windbreaker standing in front of the store... ;)

The part number depends on what year and engine you have, details you have not provided.

For example, the 98 2.5 uses part number XS2Z9F715BC as the latest rev level.

edit.. I'm slow....

wasnt aware of the difference.

i have a 99 contour svt...made in late 99 if it makes a difference.

apparently is makes a difference from 5/3/99 and on, interesting.

And if you buy a new one...you,ll have same problem. Answer to the IAC valve problems is to lubricate the plunger inside the IAC valve. dry Graphite lube works well...I done the IAC thing for a while, until I figured out what happens.

I did the IAC valve cleaning on both my 98 CSVT and my 03 S/C Harley Edition F150 (Lightning engine for all practical purposes) and the IAC valves were the same right down to the wiring harness plug. The only visible variation was the plunger material.

Went so far as to put the part from my CSVT on the truck and try it. It idled and drove fine.

IAC & EGR

IAC & EGR

I bought both from team ford website. They had them in stock and shipped the next day. Better price than on web or in town. DHL overnight service only took 7 days. But we are an outlying area and do not qualify for overnight service (what BS). I sure glad they did not charge extra for us being located 5 miles from a international airport. Dan

I need to buy a new IAC for my 98 CSVT. I am wondering if the rest of you all that put new/other ones in noticed your CEL going off after you put the new one in??? Thanks.

cel going off as in it turned off or as it turned on

if the code if for a bad IAC and you replace it then yes the CEL should turn off. but then again its best to reset the pcm at the same time something like this is changed.

and you're correct, this was actually the second iac valve i have purchased. the first time i replaced it, i made a gasket for it and the gasket started leaking so i actually got "throttle rise" instead of just hang.

i'll definately try the lubrication idea some time this week because after about a week of driving with the new iac, the throttle hang (although not as prominent) came back.

thanks for the help
