Just checking right now, it would seem a lot of people are posting about the light in their clocks, I am thinking of offering an LED service, which would be a contour clock in the color of your choice, either mail in, mod, and ship back, or a core exchange where for a deposit I would send you a pre-modded clock and the deposit would be refunded upon receipt of the intact functioning clock. It will probably be a while before I start this, as I will need to perfect my method and find something that will be durable. However, this is a "hard mod" like I did to mine, where the led is hard soldered to the clock board on the brass contacts that the original bulb twisted into, instead of being soldered to tabs on a bulb socket where it could come loose or break like I have experienced in similar mods.
Down the road I may also offer door switch mods and LED mods in the defog switch and dimmer switch indicator, but those are a bit more difficult (master switches are a royal pain in my opinion) and costly in terms of cores and such.
What do you think?
