Hello all u out there. just an intro- my names Scott and i joined this site cause im a new owner of a 2000 contour (2.0) and i'm having a bit of trouble finding the problem with my fuel system secondary circuit according to my car. Hooked the damn thing up to a modus and ereased the DTC p1237 5 times and it still comes back. The car has a horrible interemittent hiccup while driving. Sometimes light other times real hard. So far i replaced the FRP sensor (it was another code) the fuel filter, a kinked line off of the tank to the filter. still can't find the problem. Checked voltage to the relay-fine. resistance to the fuel pump it was 2 ohms, I beleive its supposed to be 10 milli ohms. Anywho the FRP was registering 31 lbs of pressure but when i hooked up a pressure gauge and drove it (of course the whole time it refused to hiccup) the gauge registered 26 lbs which would drop to 20 during a slight hiccup. I suppose I can just replace the FPDM but am not sure about the mismatched pressure readings. All I can figure is maybe the previous owner replaced the fuel pump with the wrong one before I got it. If anyone can throw some light on this It'd be very much appreciated. All i know is if I don't fix it soon it'll tear the hell out of my engine in time. I really hadn't a clue there was a site even dedicated to these cars! Thank you
