So late last night I get a call from Brent372 saying that the father of an ex SVT Contour owner was at the junkyard and he say an SVT there. So instead of going to the junkyard at 10 am we showed up @ 8:30am to find this:
wreckedsvt.jpg

Its a stock 98 e0. missing the TB, MAF, intake pipe and cone, Cluster, side skirts, and rims.

This is what Holyrollerz,fordman302,Brent372, Khemshrov(sp), a non ceger, and myself got:

parts.jpg

4 door panels, 2 sunroof motors, rear SVT bumper, tranny mount, roll resistor, TBbracket, TB cable, SVT UIM, SVT LIM, passenger seat, rear bench back and bottom, door bezels and switches, 19lb injectors, power antenna, 4 alpine type s door speakers, and a sunroof wind deflector all for a grand total of 120.00 bucks :)

I got the hook up there. Even though their price list is very cheap, i.e.

Upper intake (fuel injection) $32.10
Rear bumper cover $32.10
Seat $32.10

Having people you know that work there that can get you a discount is the bomb!! Oh and cash is also a good thing.

yeah and everything except the speakers and the rear bumper is for sale.... pm me

Oh yeah Im was going to get the complete motor for 250.00 but only to find out that it was replaced with an SE motor. Cam lines were blue. Didnt get a chance to get the oil cooler yet.

It was so funny. There was like 5 of us on the car taking things off of it from all sides of the car. People didnt even dare look at the car because I think we would have snapped at them lol

Haha...people were probably thinking, "Cmon guys, it's just a Contour."

I bet I could have gotten the stuff for under $100. :D
Next time bring SVTFLEA with you and tell them the parts are for HER car. ;)

Her car might very well end up in that junkyard in the next week or two.
I wrecked it on the way home.

nothing, except when people commonly think that Contours are Escorts.

Ya know I've had that happen before with my Mystique but it was some kid calling it a Tracer, he was a little "hard ass" I hated him. I also had some retard (not literally a retard) I used to work with call it a 4 Cylinder Taurus, I tried to tell him they never made a 4 Cylinder Taurus (at least not to my knowledge) Yep, people need to get there car names straight.

"He was a brown nose, Lou, you hated him!"

Actually, they did make a four-cylinder Taurus. It was available from 1986 to 1991. It was a 2.5 HSC, a Tempo 2.3 with a slightly longer stroke. It was available with the three speed automatic, and broke no speed records so equipped. It was also available with a 5-speed transmission, a much better setup, though you wouldn't take it to the drags. Models with the manual were known as the MT-5 (1986 and 1987 or so), and as with all automatic Tauri of the time, they were available in either wagon or sedan.

Aww beat me too it. Yeah I remember those 2.5s tauressessess back when I was looking up what could be done with tempoos.

Wow a 4 banger Taurus I bet that sucker hardly moved.
Back on topic, you know I did find a Mystique pretty much just like mine at the junkyard I go to here and thought about asking the guy pulling a mirror off for me (same color) how much do they charge for full cars but then I thought shoot where am I gonna put a parts car. :blackeye: Then I seen something to good to be true SE Skirts (same day) on a SE of course the same color as my Mystique as I got closer the left side skirt had a chunk missing out of it.
