I know conbon already made a thread about the Mustang RTR (http://www.contour.org/ceg-vb/showthread.php?t=51118&highlight=RTR), but I wanted to make a new one with updates from SEMA next week.

Here is a quick preview of Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Mustang RTR and a teaser of the Mustang RTR-C.

The Mustang RTR which will be a dealer installed performance and appearance package available at select dealers in 2010, the official introduction and press release will be out on Tuesday. If you will be at SEMA check out the car at the K&N filters booth #22443.

Also being unveiled is the Halo to the RTR brand, The Mustang RTR-C. The RTR-C is a 100% dry carbon bodied Mustang with both appearance and performance upgrades, and only 10 will be produced. SEMA attendees will be able to see the car for the first time ever Tuesday morning at Ford’s SEMA Booth.

I will post more teaser pictures of the RTR-C as we get closer to Tuesday.

Never thought of taking car pictures at Red Rock (I'm assuming that's where this is) but it makes an aweseom backdrop.

Here's the release on the RTR.

"World Champion Drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. is excited to introduce a new generation of the Ford Mustang to the world – the Mustang RTR (Mustang RTR). Along with designer Caleb Clark and the help of Classic Design Concepts, Vaughn has successfully brought his ultimate vision to life in the form of this modern, aggressively-styled Mustang with the perfect mixture of performance upgrades for any spirited driver.

The Mustang RTR will be available in multiple color combinations at select Ford dealerships nationwide beginning in February of 2010. This package will first be available with the 2010 Ford Mustang GT; however, a V6 version will be soon to follow. Performance upgrades include a Ford Racing calibration with K&N high-flow air filter (+9HP), Falken FK452 performance tires, Ford Racing damper kit with 1.5 inch lowering springs, Baer drilled and slotted rotors, and extremely throaty mufflers that leave no doubt that the Mustang RTR is Ready to Rock.

The Mustang RTR includes aggressive exterior elements that offer OEM quality and fit. These exclusive elements include an RTR rear diffuser, front splitter, aluminum rear spoiler, RTR side and rear emblems, as well as a distinctive RTR vinyl scheme. The vehicle also features a tasteful chin spoiler and sleek side splitters. The aggressive stance of this car is defined by the 19x9.5 Mustang RTR wheels. The interior of this visually-stimulating vehicle consists of RTR-specific floor mats, shift knob, emblems. Each Mustang RTR owner will become a part of the exclusive RTR registry and will receive a numbered badge with their new machine.

“There is no question that Mustang’s performance, quality and looks have evolved straight from the factory,” says Vaughn Gittin Jr. “However, the majority of the Mustang aftermarket has not fully followed the progression with regards to aesthetics. I saw the need to get something out there that was different from traditional Mustang styling. Something that could open up a new set of eyes to the already-incredible Ford Mustang, while keeping the current Mustang enthusiast smiling.”

“Pure passion for Mustang has fueled me and my team every step of the way and is the single reason I decided to chase this dream and never lift – just as I have with my driving career,” Vaughn continues. “While I have had this vision for years, unfortunately it has taken so much time for me to find the right people who have helped take this vision from my head all the way to production. I feel like a proud father and cannot wait to see this car on the road. Trust me when I tell you, this Mustang is Ready to Rock!”

The current estimated price for the RTR package mentioned above is $7,800. The Mustang RTR will be displayed at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas at the K&N Filters booth # 22443 November 3-6, 2009.
