Hi fellas. Figured I'd throw this out there for you guys to ponder . . . right now I'm working on setting up a dyno day at Logan Motorsports in South Elgin, IL for Saturday, November 11.

Logan has already tuned my 3L/SVT hybrid with great success, and they have also worked with a few other Cougars and had success in tuning them.

More information about the shop can be found at www.loganmotorsports.com . They offer a full range of services from basic dyno pulls to full-blown dyno tuning.

I'm targeting the 11th because it should be the debut of my new 3L, one that will hopefully put down numbers the likes of which have not been seen before from a normally aspirated, street Duratec.

If anyone is interested in dyno tuning, the cost is $150 per hour. If you are just interested in a powerpull session, the cost is $85 for three pulls.

If there is enough interest shown we may be able to get a discount. Currently I have five members on NECO that I would consider definitely in. If anyone else would be interested, please post in here or PM me.

oh, bbox beat me to cross posting this.

I mentioned this at the PRT meet. I highly recommend Logans. They have a real sweet dyno setup [its not one of those rolling road ones, its a direct hub attached one]. They are setup for AWD pulls so if you evo guys want in, just say so.

if anyones interested in dyno time, speak up, we're calling tomorrow trying to negotiate a discount... more people helps lower that price.

Yeah we definently take them hunting w/ us most years and we know them very well, I accually planned on taking my svt there for a tune up, i can almost garuntee i'll be there

Can't make it, sorry guys. I'm prety sure my stuff isn't going to be back from Extrude Hone till Mid Nov. anyway.....I'm not even going to get to run it at the track till next year. :(

Unfortunatly no, no before/after dyno charts....but there will be some before/after 1/4 mile runs.

Looking for 19 flat before i strip the car and start building next summer/fall. Oh yeah, i said 19 flat......watch yourself ;)

dyno comparison anyone?

dyno comparison anyone?

If anyones interested. I have an optimized svt throttle body that I can let someone use for experimental purposes. This could be a good opportunity to test the effects of this mod. Just thought I'd throw it out there if anyones interested or thinking about getting an optimized tb. I don't have my car ready yet but I'll be there hanging out for a while.

Was that in reference to 19 seconds or 19 feet???? (sorry, I am a post whore looking to hit 50 ! )

What is the status of this meet? I would be interested in attending and even dynoing if my tuning is done.

I actually haven't heard back from them as of yet, which is sort of disturbing cuz its been a week since I emailed them. I'm going to call in the next few days and see what's going on. It sounds like there's a pretty good amount of interest in setting something up with them, so hopefully they'll be down for it.

hey i'll try it out, btw i'll try to get ahold of them myself and let them know u guys are waiting,

also, would anyone be willing to help me fix the dashboard warp when were there,
and finally anyone know some good cheap body shops in or around naperville?

I've always found that you get what you pay for. A large facility is going to go "by the book" and it will be done correctly and you will pay for it. A small shop might be able to do it "on the side", maybe even for cash, but the downside is that it might take longer as it's not the shops priority.

yeah I contacted him last night letting him know you guys were waiting, he said he would give one of you a call today, forgot who though

That would be me, he said they were having email server issues. I was gonna call him today regardless, but he beat me to the punch.

So, here's the update -

BUMPAGE!!!!!

PLEASE respond ASAP if you are on the list. Logan has agreed to work with us that day, so I'd like to get a relatively final car list here in the next few days so we know exactly what we're up against.

With the amount of interest generated, this has pretty much become and all-day event now.

Logan opens at 9 a.m. on Saturdays, so the more people we can have there the better.

DeWayne has also offered to arrange catering for us if we wanted. If we're gonna do that, I need a good idea about how many people are gonna be there period, dyno or not, AND if we want to go that route or not.

As it currently stands we have two 3L's and a supercharged 2.5L tuning, and an '06 Mustang GT and a mid-90's Towncar (yes, a Towncar) for dyno pulls.

Anyone else in for certain one way or another yet?
