I am having a hard time removing the OIL PAN! I got everything unbolted and basically hanging down by a bolt as of now.

When I remove all the bolts holding the oil pan I cannot remove the OIL Pan due to what I believe is the Oil Pickup Tube! The hole within the Oil Pan as I felt my way around it had a bent pipe going into it with an expansion at the end extending the the length or a bit smaller then the hole!

I played with this for about 45 min before giving up! It looks like im getting slack towards the passenger side but not the drivers toward the transmission as it seems to be blocking the way to move the oil pan and remove it. Are their any reminders for a trick for this!!!!

What pan/pickup are you running? I had issues getting my 2.5L pan down because my front header (WR header) seemed to hug the pan a little too close. I believe I had to loosen the header to get it off. As long as your pickup tube isn't bent it should be able to come off.

Ok Somebody who understands! I have been on this for almost two hours literally!

I have the Updated 3L Oil Pan with the Pickup Tube that came with the 3L.

The Pickup tube seems to be bent towards the transmission. When I feel it it seems like that is how it is supposed to be (meaning the Tube has bends that are smooth and no creases! This is by a hand touch/feel So I cannot gaurantee that it is NOT BENT in an improper manner!)

DISREGARD ANY OF THE DOTS in this Drawing:

................................ | <--- Oil Pickup Tube
Tranny.. --> | _______ / ___ <--- Windage Tray
and Oil.. --> |......... _/_ <--- Oil Pickup Tube inside windage Tray
Pan Wall --> |_____________----- <-- Bottom Of Oil Pan and right over the Subframe.

Guys, Please let me know if I am making any sense! I am stuck at this and I need to take this down so I can drill the hole and tap into the Oil Pan for the turbo oil drain!

If you can get in there with a 1/4 ratchet remove the pickup (held on by two 8mm bolts). If not pickups and baffles are cheap so you could pull really hard and replace the pickup or baffle if you damage them.

Thanks for chiming in! I wondered if you had any pictures or anybody had any pictures of the underside of their engine with the OIL PAN REMOVED! So I can check exactly where the oil pickup tube is bolted at. I dont wanna go in there and start unscrewing stuff and then my crank falls out LOL!!!!

I am also unsure where I can grab a Oil Pickup Tube and/or Windage Tray if I go with the Pull Hard Method! I did a search on google and called Steve @ Tousley, and BJenkins has fell off!

It really shouldn't be that difficult to come off... Are you sure you have all the bolts off? There is some on the trans too.

It is 100% off I can wiggle it. If I blow on it in any direction it will move. Im going to try and unbolt the front mount and raise the engine/tranny to see if i can get a couple inches away from the subframe and that angle may do the trick hopefully!

Keep you guys informed Thanks!

Raised the engine to give me clearance on the Subframe side of the OIL PAN and that looks like it did the trick. But like everybody said it still took some tugging at the oil pan, previously I was just a bit worried to hurt something!
