I'm opening a new online store that I need a logo created for. I have ZERO clue how to use Photoshop with any skill, but I know a lot of you do. The winner will receive $51.75 paypal'd to their account to be $50 even after fees once I receive the file. I will then reserve the right to use that logo on my page after payment. There must be multiple participants before the contest begins.
The website is www.raceturbos.com and will largely feature Garrett product. I've got it partially set up so you can look at it to get an idea of the scheme and layout. Use your imagination. Needless to say, nothing profane or obscene will be considered. psd is preferred at 300 dpi, deadline is Sunday December 16th.

Anyone want to play?

You dont want a logo done in photoshop, its a raster based program. Which means if you ever wanted bigger it would pixelate and look like crap. You would want it done in illustrator or coral draw. They are vector base program and you could make the logo what ever size you want and never run into problems. Glad I could help.

More software I don't know how to use. Sweet.

What size are you looking for? Joey is kind of right, but as long as you receive it in 300dpi you should be fine. Because you are eventually going to have to save it for web either as a jpg or gif that way it doesn't take forever and a day to load. Another question I have for you is whether you want a static image or dynamic image, meaning flash based or strictly photoshop? I am game I'll be participating but if you look at a lot of the sites they have flash based things going on, meaning images moving at the top. But if you are solely looking for a logo then photoshop would be best.

I'm going to go with no flash. Just in case there are some people out there without broadband. I'm not sure they exist, but just in case.

You just want a logo for a name that has already been conceived?

Why doesn't someone bust out the Adobe Illustrator?

Sadly this is the one program I do NOT have. Otherwise I could make you some really terrific stuff.

Buy me the software and I will cook you up a very nice logo.

Good luck printing that last one on anything larger than a business card. I'll give this a shot Keyser.

Alright, I step back and away from the mud slinging. If you can get that to print to the size of a dinner table, all the power to you.

lol @ dinner table

damn you keyser! why'd you have to go and wave $$ in front of Bill's face while he's working on my stuff!  j/k, bill will probably knock out something badass in 10 minutes.

i wish i had PS skills. im very creative and could come up with some cool stuff. and even make $50 while i was at it

Don't worry Steve.. your stuff is coming along. I've been sitting here since 6 working on stuff and saw this thread.. go figure.

All I'm saying is don't say unnecessary things about my designs even if they are relatively small. lol

And no, it obviously isn't going to be as big as a dinner table, but i just figured I'd submit.
