If anyone of you are familiar with the sound of a stock miata that is the sound i am looking for

when i drive my miata like grandma it is a quiet car
but when i get on it (very often) it sounds like the sports car that it is
and it DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A FART CANNON RICE BURNER
that last part is the most important of all
if i cant find an exhaust that meets all my requirements then i would rather leave on the stock

i would like to keep it as econimical as possible
i am a di it yourselfer and i do have a welder capable of welding up to 3/16 inch mild steel
perhaps a stock svt exhaust?
where would i source one for cheap?
or is there an autozone muffler i could put on that would meet my requirements?

thanks

elkhart indiana
it is just below the michigan state line about 10 minutes
about halfway between ohio and illinois
just east of south bend

i think i would like a stock svt
where can i source a new one for cheap
do i have to go to the dealer

does anyone here have any experience with an autozone muffler NOT a fart can on these cars?
do you think one of those will meet my desires?

I have a stock system (minus res which I replaced with a magnaflow) that got mangled pretty bad in front of the "Y". Since you're close and willing to do some grafting I thought I'd mention it. I'll give it away, both stock mufflers should be good still. PM me if you're interested...I'll take a pic today if I think about it.

Just get a stock SVT exhaust and call it a day. Its usually cheaper than replacing the resonator and its an easy bolt on mod.
