I think the black will look better than silver. It offers contrast between the body and the plate area, and looks good with the black in the lower valence.

I think black would look better since the lower valence of the bumper is black, kinda add symmetry, especially along with the gunmetal wheels.

However, if you paint the lower valence of the bumper silver, then do silver on the pre98 trunk.
