Anyone have these? What are the general opinions on them? If anyone has had these and the Nokya yellow ones and can comapre them for me that would be a joy. I would rather leave the stock fogs in and not mess with them besides bulb replacement so I dont want to go H3 with Piaa Ion bulbs or anything  like that. I am considering the Nokya because yellow is ment to be the best color in fog which we have pretty bad up here (upstate NY). Everyone I know swears by silverstar for their headlights so I am leaning towards them. They will end up around the same price for me so what do you guys think.

i put the silverstars in my fogs. 3 days went by and they were out. i was pissed. 40 bucks gone. found out its because the bumper moves around a bit more than the headlamps. and mine is kind of lose. so i put just crappy ones back in and they are still going after all summer. but thats me

Eep that doesnt bode well for silverstar, but I heard someone say putting dialectric grease on the terminals will allow for the bulbs to wiggle without connection loss? I assume since silverstars blow from the bumper wiggling this might help?

the color from them was nice, matches the headlights well but they didn't last more then 20 hours of actual use ... but i did have them on for 14 hours straight ...

Mine didnt' last long either, and didn't seem as bright as the Nokya's that I have used in the past. I've been very happy with the Nokya's, they last long and have a real nice color

I decided not to use the Silverstars. Too many people on here reporting problems with melting lenses or bulbs failing early.

I'm running Eurolite Xenon Super Plasma (893DP). Yeah yeah, I know, cheap name. I've run Eurolite bulbs on many of my cars in the past, and you can't beat the price and quality. Always outlasted name brand, double the price bulbs.

The color is not anything close to blue. Ask Haroon, he saw them over the weekend. They go nicely with my 4300k HIDs.

893DP - $10.31 shipped

I prefer GE Nighthawk bulbs for the headlights (no tint on the bulb like silverstars). I have silverstars in my 96 and they've done OK but one blew in maybe 1 1/2 years time in a buddy's car.
I believe GE has nighthawk fog bulbs too, so I might would get those. If you feel the need for yellow bulbs, then go for it, but I wouldn't get a cheap brand like nokya.

Try the new Silverstar Ultra bulbs. They're designed to be brighter than regular Silverstar's and they also are designed to last longer. I have H3's on my Cougar, and they are nice and bright, and go well with the Silverstar highs and lows.

first off, use 885 bulbs for fogs, much brighter and uncapped.

9005 in your lows.

same have experienced melting of the fog lamp lens when using the higher wattage 885 bulb ....

are the 885's a direct fit? will it damage my wiring harness?

they are a direct fit, as for wireing damage I am not sure since they are infact a higher wattage then stock and therefor should draw more power, again I haven't heard about it being an issue ...

If you are looking for more function then looks, Hella Yellow stars are the way to go if you plan on upgrading to an H3 foglight, true fogs are yellow and you will know why under wet conditions

Yes definetely use the 885's. I bought one by accident and it was much brighter. I also bought 1 sliverstar 893. It sucks. There is no blue or white light. Its not as bright as the original bulb and its alot duller than the 885. 885's are the way to go. I've had my silverstar in for about 3 or 4 months now and its still working
