Im looking to upgrade my sound system. I want to put in some pioneer speakers in my car but, keep them in the stock locations with the original grilles. just looking for a nice clean crisp sound nothing tooo fancy but nothing crappy like it is now.

The questions:

What size goes in the front?rear? (i think all 4 are 6x8`s? correct me if im wrong)

Do they wire up to the stock wiring?

Do you need any special adapters or anything or units to make it work?

^^^^would this work for all 4 speakers?^^^^

^^^and would this reciver work in the stock location ?^^^

sry for so many questions. im new to the audio world and dont know much about it. I tried searching on the old forums and all I really came up with were the size i needed.

thank youuuu

That head unit will work fine although you will want to bypass the factory amplifier that your car currently has. Search the forums for amp bypass and you will find all the info you need to do it. As far as the speakers, I would probably look on ebay as you can most likely do much better for around that price.

i have the Infinity Reference 6X8's all around and they are great....just gotta have a sub or turn up the bass to get good lowrange....

does it make a huge difference to bypass the factory amp?? my head and speakers were basically plug and play....

if you have an ipod the Alpine 9856 is cheap ($154) on ebay and is worth every penny...you gotta get a wiring harness for your car Best Buy has them get the wiring harnesses for the speakers too so you can crimp or solder them in your house and then just plug them into the doors....make sure to get the premium sound one (i figured that out through trial and error)

yes you need to bypass the factor amp, it will sound like crap if you don't ... beside the simple 20 watts or so that amp put out will be nothing when compaired to an aftermarket radio ...
