so who didn't think it was goign to sleet/snow last night?

who didn't have snow tires on their car?

Who isn't ready for this weather yet?

discuss

I didn't think that we would get anything because all the rain was over near boston when I checked the weather before turning in last night.

suprise waking up at 4 am and hearing sleet.

i didnt expect it last nite, but when i woke up and got called out of work i wasnt complaining! i will say im ready as i work outside all year, the only thing that stops us is the actual act of rain or snow. 10 degree days got nothing on me! def need to buy some winter tires for the stock wheels, i need to stop procrastinating!

definitely not ready for it...so i am glad i didnt get any.
still need to buy snow shoes for both vehicles.

appearently down by the shore there was more snow then inland for CT yet again .... normally its the other way around.

Were getting snow right now. Sticking in the grass but not quite on the roads yet. I've got my snow tires and stock suspension back on already so I'm set!

This morning sucked! We were hit hard in my area. I was convinced school would have been cancelled but of course East Hartford barely got anything.

In a short amount of time, I saw sleet, freezing rain, and snow this morning. It would switch over completely in a matter of seconds. Winds were coming in close to 40 MPH. It was nuts. I couldn't even drive my cars today. Both the BMW and SVT have summer tires on and none of the roads were cleared. Luckly Sandra and I work together now so we just took her Sentra.

here in falmouth we got some, still on the ground right now from this morning/last night. even a little slush on the road.

Yeah, we got a surprising amount of snow on the coast. It was snowing from 3:45 (when I woke up from the mix hitting the widnow) until past 6 when I start work. The highway was pretty hairy and all the roads were slushy and slick. I'd say we got an inch+ on the cars and grass, and a good accumulation of slush on the roads. I carpool to work so we took my dad's Subaru.

I knew rain was coming. Definitely did not expect the half inch of wet snow when I walked outside. Luckily, I changed out the wheels saturday. Just in time.

i feel better knowing that I wasnt the only one who was woken up by the ice getting pelted off my bedroom window.

Im not ready for the winter. I still have to mount (and buy) the new snow tires

Sleet here last night, no snow. I have a skylight that made plenty of noise from the ice bouncing off the glass.

The Blizzaks are in the garage. I haven't decided if I will be putting them on the car this year. I only have one set of alloys and the constant swapping gets expensive. I have a dealer appointment this Friday so I have the week to determine if I want them put on.

matt, have you tried to find another set of stock wheels to use?
Been too busy with house stuff, lol. Car stuff has been put on hold the past year.
Used GT wheels are going for $300 - 400+ on legacygt.com without shipping. Regular Subaru alloys won't clear the calipers IIRC.

I know what you mean. I didn't do much with the cars this year either. I only put ~800 miles on the SeVT this year. The SVT was only ~3,500 miles. Although I have already put 12k on the new DD since the beginning of May

I barely have time to wash my damn cars with the house stuff always going on.

Sunday we ripped down sheetrock in my garage and installed plumbing so I can finally wash the cars at home now. I had no access to water outside my condo so we piped it all in and put it just inside the garage door. I'm mounting up the hose reel and patching up all the sheetrock this week. My car has just been sitting and collecting dust most of this year. I really wanted to drive it more this summer too.
