Trunk lid lift cylinder

Hey there.

When i pop the trunk and pull the lid up the shocks/cylinders pull the lid down. i figured this is normal behavior for bad shocks/cylinders. should i try to get new ones? or is there a fix for this? should i get used ones? aftermarket ones?

get new ones

there gone, done with, autozone O, O, O'reillys auto parts advance auto parts and napa carries them and so does the dealer should be about the same price either way
