hey just wanted to know what oil you guys prefer in your CSVT and the viscosity (thickness) do you change it according to your states climate?

Currently Amsoil 5W-40 European Blend. Love it.

Previously I ran Mobil 1 0W-40 Euro. Loved that too, but went to Amsoil for the longer oil change interval. I change it once a year, sometimes waiting a little longer depending on how the oil looks.

Frankly any 5W-30 oil changed at 3k intervals will be fine. Just stay away from the 5W-20 stuff. Too thin.

Amsoil full synthetic 5w-30, motocraft filter. Viscosity is good enough in the winter to where I don't need to plug it it (not that I could if I wanted to)...and we normally see a couple weeks with -40 to -50F every winter.

I just got a coupon from a local ford dealer for an oil change with motorcraft synthetic blend for $28, is the stuff any good?

Currently: Lucas 5-30 Synthetic with Amsoil ATF in the Transmission
and wix gold filter. Will be switching to mobil again, couldn't get any at the time of last change. The lucas is great, but costco is 20.00 for 6 quarts of mobil 1 5-30 synthetic

That's a good price. I can barely do it myself for that price with oil prices at the auto parts stores these days.

This last fall it was $45 for amsoil and a filter for the tour. This weekend I changed the oil in my dads Taurus, and it was $60 for the same stuff and a filter.
