Want to share my other project car/DD. This is a 2003 Ford Focus ZTW with the big 2.3L Duratec w/ ATX.

Exact car I wanted for the next step in life. We been needing something with cargo. I couldn't get into any SUV that excited me. I decided I didnt want a car payment, havent has one in years. Needed to be reliable, fun and unique.

If you not familiar with the focus, this is a semi hard to find car. One its a wagon obviously (not so hard to find, but less common). However, the big motor was only available in the the MK1 in 2003 & 2004 in select green states as a PZEV motor. After that the car got a face lift and the 2.3L was only available in the ST (sedan).

My color of choice is white, and guess what I got!

Ideally if you want to talk "Unicorns" this beast would have a MTX75 mated to it. I think that only accounts for 5% of all focuses made state-side and they needed to be ordered. Well, this one has an ATX, I prefer it, as honestly rowing a car in city traffic day-in and day-out can be frustrating and my one leg was growing larger.

I Love leather, but it makes me sweat in 115* heat, so cloth will do.

Now the good stuff.

Bought the car knowing it needed a suspension refresh. Worked that angle on the deal along with 3 motor mounts and a mystery spot on the tranny pan. Little did they know I was going to replace the suspension anyway. I started collecting parts.

Maintenance comes first always kiddos!

Next step it to get an FSWerks CAI for it, would love for them to tool me a Stealth Exhaust it. Also a tune to work with the shifting on this Autotragic, boost HP, and Fuel Economy.

I also have a set of '00 OEM texture black rocker covers, but not sure if they will go on. Also have painted door handles. I had tried them, but I think the black works better in my case.

Well, thats it. This might end up as a build thread as thing progress but I happy that all the planning I did paid off and I get to enjoy it for a while.

I know others have some sweet rides other than Contours and would love if they started threads.

If it were mine?

Retrofit SVT side skirts and front bumper/fogs.

OEM Mach HID's and ST170 grille.

And a little less antenna.

But holy balls, that thing looks mean. Great stance, and I love the roof rails. Before I bought my SVT ZX3, I had a 99 Saturn SW2 with a manual trans, roof rails, and some tasteful mods; I do love the wagons. Nice work, and good find on the 2.3. Cosworth time!

Thank you for your complements.

Call me odd, but I just like seeing the simplicity of these cars.

SVT body parts are a little round for me on the wagon, but I will entertain euro goodness all day.

Personally, I have the Massive end links on my Roush. Really nice pieces; probably the last ones I'll ever have to buy.

I have Massive front endlinks and rear toe arms on my CSVT. They are AWESOME!! Would buy from them guys anyday.

Car looks great!! And I am not even a wagon kinda guy. lol

Definitely agree, I even went so far as to put their stickers on my car, and I HATE stickers, but they've definitely earned it IMO.

Focus wagon looks great, love the stance on it.

Julian and I are on first names terms. Brothers from another mother. We've bonded over 3L installs, he likes popping them. J/k!

Well they certainly have a sense of humor at Massive, after I got my toe arms I was about to buy their endlinks and I posted on their facebook wall that I loved their products and was going to put their stickers on my car. When my endlinks showed up, the box was full of stickers, at least 15-20 of them from all different companies.

That's great! Ha ha ha!

I'm trying to come up with something funny that would be soccer-mom-ish or honor student-ish.
