I need a new shift knob for my contour, and I was looking at these ones from Steeda for the Focus. It looks like these will work with the stock reverse lockout ring and it's a direct fit replacement type thing. My question is, will these Steeda shift knobs work or won't they?

I'm not one to say "use the search" but I found a cool shiftknob from Divesified Products and some didn't like it, but hey, its something different. So do yourself a favor and search and you'll find a couple choices out there. FWIW, I have the VooDoo knob powder coated white on my ride and I love it

Searching for "shift knob" all weekend has not been that forthcoming, and I did run across a few different suggestions, but the steeda knob is the only one that appeals to me so far. (Given that I haven't seen the one your referring to yet ) Thanks for the reply!

I think it is very likely that it will fit. I just e-mailed Steeda to see if they know. I'll let you know what they say.

It looks like Stillen doesn't know. Here is their answer.
Personally, I think it is highly likely that it will fit.

We have not tried it to know for certain if it will fit. We know it will
fit the shifter itself, but not if it is compatible with the reverse
lockout mechanism

Awesome! Thanks for checking that out! I think it's pretty safe to assume that it will work with the reverse lockout ring. I'll order one and see what happens.
