I've been hit in the rear bumper this night by a big loader that pick up the snow, while I was at a tim hortons, where a friend works. I'd like to hear what I should do...
1) stay with my bumper(hole is about 3 inch wide by 1 inch in height) 2) take a original bumper(year 96) 3) take a special/modded one(like the SVT kit or something else)
I'd like to know what sould I consider to do and I'd like to get the prices of some bumpers and if there are good prices somewhere.
thanks.

Shouldn't the company that was plowing the snow have to pay for a new bumper?

Idk what you should do except don't get an SVT bumper. Leave those for us SVT drivers so when we get bumped in the back we have bumpers left for us to replace ours with. I would hate to one day get bumped and have to put a stock bumper on the back of my SVT. That would look funny. David

you could go the extra mile and get the SVT rear bumper and SVT skirts, that looks pretty good like that.

I went to the city hall today and I asked what company was plowing and they told me they couldn't tell me since it came from another city(because we had so much snow, the city didn't had enough of their stuff). so I'm stuck with having to pay myself a new bumper.
and to reply to BCSVT, I'm sure that the place where I will buy my bumper won't affect you, I live in Canada and I'm willing to take it from here...
it's sure I'd like the side skirts, I want them since a long time, but with the amount of snow we get here in the winter, I'm sure I'll scrap them.

Since the city hall cannot or will not give you the name of the company Tim Horton's is the one who should be responsible for repairing your car. The plow company was hired by them as a subcontractor and your car was on their property when it was damaged.

Absolutely right. Typically parking lot plowing would be the responsiblilty of the owner of the lot and not handled by the city. Of course you are from canada and maybe things work differently. Do you have any way to prove that they did it?

it's not to tim hortons to pay for it, because it wasn't plowing in the parking, it just stopped there to take a coffee for the road.
I have no proof for that and I have no idea how come I could have gotten a proof. all I can say is that the man was going to go in to order his coffee, but when he was going to park, he got out of the plow truck he looked at my car and he went to order through the drive thru. I never really saw the man. I guess I'm not lucky.
I worked on my bumper today, I got the plastic back in it's place, it doesn't look that bad, we still see cracks. It may look better, but it still makes me mad.
