I have a 96 lx duratec and am wondering that when I am stationary or moving slow I can here a clunk noise from the wheel. My ball joints are fine the front end in general is solid and power steering fluid is up to level at all times what else could be the problem? could it be a sign that the rack may give out? or could it be shock mount or something?

could be a lot of things, any particular time it makes this noise. anything you can do to make it do it, or not do it.

Not to bring back and old post but did you ever figure out what it was? Mine is kinda doing the same thing. Mine does it when I let off the brake sometimes, and when I'm driving straight. But now I notice sometimes it does it when I'm coming out of a turn. Maybe ball joint? Thanks!
