Imagine the thermostat as a funnel (Y shape) being used. The o-ring sits on top of the large circle (inlet).

just make sure u set the thermostat gasket right or it will not seal properly

i did it with bilys and it leaked cuz it tore so luckily his old gasket looked brand new so we used that, even tho its not good to used old parts it worked

Man I am still confused... This sucks.

Okay how about this: can you see the o-ring when the thermostat housing is put back together?
