From what I've read in several automotive magazines, the NOS brand octane booster is the only one that seems to really do much. However, higher octane fuel DOES NOT add power. It simply allows you to run more timing and/or boost. I pour in a can of the NOS "off road" formula when I take my blown Mustang to the track. I'm not looking for it to give me any more power, just a little extra insurance against harmful detonation with 93 pump gas. I've also gone to the track with a 1/4 tank of fuel (4 gal), and added 2 gal of 115 octane race gas. I think the mix of 4 gal of 93 and 2 gal of 115 gave me a mix of roughly 98 octane. The price for the NOS "off road" octane booster is just about the same as two gallons of 115 race gas.
