No new news. I know many of you have had these tires for a long time.

Just wanted to put in my 2 cents for the tires on a 99 zetec.

I really do like them a lot. In fact, I have found very little not to like. Sticky with a good temp rating and tread warranty.

Nice mid-high end priced tire.

Kharma is very real and she is one mean b!tch.

I have about 3k on my 225/16/50's and 99mystique is correct in that they work very well in the rain and in the dry. The only thing I do not like is that there is more "wag" (like a dog's tail) in the rear end. This may be because I upsized the tire from the stock SVT 215?/16/40? in any event the car now rides an inch over stock (for an SVT) and is not as tight (tire roll? as I would like it to be) next time I will go with a 40 or 45. Grrrrr, live and learn. But they still handle great and 0-60 is very good. I payed $130+- installed ballanced at the local tire shop with extra warrenty. [br] If you want some SVT rims with new tires let me know..?? it may be time for me to move up to SVT focus 17's. Also check out the new version KDW (s?)I have heard a lot of good things about it.

I just have one question: I don't mean to be a dick but what does having a zetec have to do with tires? confused

Don't forget that you went from KDW's(High Dry/Wet performance)to 950s(Moderate perforamance All season), meant for two different types of driving. And, of course, the size difference...215/50(stock SVT) to 225/50(950's) means your side wall will be slightly taller...coupled with the down grading in performance you have the decrease in steering response you mentioned. laugh
