A fair amount of people have PM'd me about the exhaust and I wanted to give an update in case anyone was interested.

I have had the magnaflow exhaust on for a couple of weeks now and I wanted to give you an update. The packing has settled in and the final tone of the setup is starting to shine through.

It has (in typical magnaflow fashion) gotten a little boomier. The tone is very low and has developed a good "full" sound. I think the sound is very consistant because I used both a magnaflow resonator and magnaflow exhaust.

I highly recommend magnaflow to anyone who is looking for a performance exhaust. They are a little more expensive than others like Dynomax and Flowmaster but I believe the cost difference is displayed through the refined nature of the m-flow sound.

My set up is certainly not for those wanting a "hey look at me" sound as it is very understated.

Now, the butt dyno has detected a good increase in some key areas.

Low RPM: virtually same
Mid RPM: slight increase
High RPM: Dear God Almighty eek

At HWY speed, the car maintains and picks up speed much better. Force the ATX to downship at 65mph and it will put you into the seat.

So, Redhawk, how do the total decibels compare to the stock exhaust, in normal non-performance driving?

This is with the stock less-than-two-inch pipes, right?

It's a little louder. It is lower in pitch with more decibels.

The rear muffler is 2.5 inch with an expansion from the stock piping.

I did not go up in piping diameter b/c I wanted to see what the stock piping would be like. Also, the stock pipe is mandrel-bent and the new pipe would not have been frown

After speaking with some of the exhaust gurus on CEG, they concurred that the stock mandrel pipe would flow better than a 2.25 crush bent.

Don't know if that is the case but they made a very strong argument.

Right now, I don't think an increase in pipe diameter will do much for my set up as I have a stock header and cat so the restriction before the flex joint is still the biggest issue.
