Does anyone on here snow drift their contour? Im wondering how it handles in the winter. Also can anyone tell me if they can get their ATX 6 cyl to smoke tire that are not slicks?

I think that speaking for all of us here it is recommended that you dont place that kind of stress on your car, the differentials in contours are notorious for blowing, costing you a lot of money in the process, but im guessing if you are really motivated try pulling the ebrake and gassing it... or start the car on the grass, get the tires spinning and when you hit the pavement they will smoke....hmn set a fire under the tired?

burn-outs are not a recommended course of action with our weak open differentials, but our cars DO handle very well in the snow, with the proper snow tires. "all-season" tires are no match for more than a dusting of the white stuff...go with the snows!

Deffinitally agree with that, my blizzaks are totally kick ass in the winter! My car handles the snow 10x better than my grandparents awd subaru, and with the ABS, even better than my old ranger.
don't drink and drive.

the car is fun in the snow though. fairly predictable IMO. but it's the only car i've driven rough in the snow, so that's my only comparison.

I've done some pretty nutty stuff in the snow (when I had my all season tires on, in an empty parking lot) Last year I was the only person in my house whom had snow tires and the only one who didn't have to shovel their car out so it does handle well in the snow with the right tires. ABS is for weanies

Try a lil tire wet, that stuff is like drivin on ICE... A couple times already after detailing my car I went flying down the road through the twisties and almost lost it "actually I did once" , Just use caution!!
