Ok, I just my car back from the dealer after getting the Dash Board Recall and some stupid sensor replaced. I am still having this hesitation when i really get on it. I thought it was because of the sensor. But after i got the car back. I was driving it around and its still there. I didn't want to bring the car back because i missed my car. I am so tired of this ****. Bill Kolb Ford Sucks!!!! I asked the guy if the fixed the hesitation and they said yeah. But anyway I get this problem when I am sitting still and then matt the petal and take off in 1st. Then sometimes when I am drive 70 or 80 MPH and punch it the car does the same thing. I changed the fuel filter. It mostly happens when I am at a 1/4 tank or less. What could it be??? **** in the tank? Fuel pump? clogged injectors? Thanks.. I dont want to bring it back to the dealer. It was already in the shop for 2 weeks. The car is still under warrenty.

Your fuel pump is dying. I just had the same problem three weeks ago. Expect to pay $300-$350 and that was with my warrenty.

Try another dealership, even a Lincoln-Mercury dealer, if you are sick of dealing with that one dealership. Sounds like they won't ever get it right if they told you that the hesitation is gone and its not. A returnless Mystique has the same fuel pump as your 2000 SVT, and they have probably seen the same problem. Besides, L-M dealerships are generally more "customer oriented". They might hem and haw at the SVT, but explain to them that the problem you want them to look at is a system that is identical to the 2000 Mystique. Factory warranty should cover it all (Antonio had a 3rd party warranty).
