Has anyone here experienced this?
On a cold start-up, the car won't stay lit unless I help it with my right foot. Wait about 30 seconds to a minute while feathering it, then the RPMs rise to about 2000 for about 30 seconds. Not a BIG problem, but it's kind of annoying to have to "babysit" a fuel-injected car on a cold start up. Should be a "start it, and forget it" operation.
Any ideas? I did a seach but couldn't find anything similar. OR maybe i don't know how to conduct a search properly......
Oh yeah, I forgot to add: this is a '99 SVT

Thanks guys and girls,
GT Ross

The IAC can cause this, but if it goes to high idle after a while, maybe not.
You might just clean it to rule it out, and the MAF while you're at it.

Make sure the IMRC is closing too.

Otherwise, check for vacuum leaks or unplugged hoses, and make sure the fuel pressure is normal.

If still a no go, the ECT shoud be checked.
