I have read a lot in the Forum Archives about having the dealership repair the dashboard warp on 99-00 model Contour's and most were posted a year + ago. I also keep reading where the factory fix did not work. Because of the age of the forum questions and the poor history of the factory repairs having worked, has anyone since then come out with a DIY repair for dash warp.
Any help will be appreciated.
thanks

Just last week I fixed mine with 2 part epoxy. I used flexible wood moulding and clamps to hold it in place while the epoxy set up. Looks fantastic now but I am still looking to do a pre-99 dash swap to avoid ever having to perform future repairs. It's not that I don't believe in the strength of the epoxy, it's the rest of the manufactures glue on the dash that I believe will eventually let go.

I used apoxy, wraped towels in palstic wrap, and wedged them in there to hold it down. worked great.

How did you get the epoxy spread under the plastic? What brand epoxy did you use?
Thanks

I removed the dash from the car and used LaPage 5 minute 2 part epoxy. It's easier to work with outside of the car. I also had to repair the area around the instrument cluster and air bag because they were warping as well.
