Compairing that fine piece of engineering to the SSEi "plasticrap." I think you did.

Well... I think it's actually an SLE... and I can see the similarities.

hmm.... so are you saying it's only me? rear door threw me off. I'll be glad if they look different in person. personally, I think that current generation passat is all wrong. almost to the point that any change is better.

:edit:
James, it's not only me then... crap...

the rear end looks cheap compared to the rest of the car. i think those seats are hideous! they look like the suits the humans wore in Battlestar Galatica.
overall, i think the car looks nicer than the current Passat. i think the current model is too bland. if the price goes up, VW will be shooting themselves in the foot. especially since the Passat will be encroaching on A4 territory. nice cars though. i test drove a new Passat last year and was thoroughly impressed with everything, except the looks. now the Passat wagon i dug though.. too bad they dont offer the V6 in a manual tranny.

I really like it! Anyone else notice how SO many people ripped on FoMoCo for taking their trucks round in 1997 - and then laughed their collective heads off at the first crisp line styling of yesteryear?? - Then people said that Mr. Bangle was a total and utter ass - well lookie here - a VW with Bangle influence . . .

New Feature I, The Electronic Parking Brake The Passat has an electronic parking brake as standard ΓΆβ?¬β?? a first in this class. It engages and disengages at the touch of a button. Its electronic control system is linked to other control units via a network. This means it can perform a series of new brake functions. These include dynamic onboard braking system, auto release (for hill starts) and vehicle hold (no need to hold down the brake pedal at traffic lights)
