(apologies if link is dead .. they're upgrading the Users server this week and service is intermittent)
It looked sweet and handled sweet, was nice (when it ran) but boy could it not go in the snow! Much sliding I did in that car. (And I know it wasn't my driving, because I do so well in the other cars)

Two years ago I got through an unplowed street with 10 inches of snow on it. My bumper was pushing a path through some of it, but the car was still going.
Granted, when it's really bad out, I just take the F350...
With my Comp T/A's I have had to go through snow well up to the front bumper and the occasional 2 ft. drift and it didn't even slow my car down. this car is about as it gets for front wheel drive cars in my mind and I havn't gotten stuck yet and i was going 60-65 when i was late getting home (after curfew) on a road that had 3-4in of snow on it and the car rarley slid or even drifted to the side. that said, the ebrake is tons of fun cause in a empty parking lot its possible to go sideways for a while before correcting out of it. of course theres always the 03 F-150 work truck for the seriuos abuse and off-roading What can I say, I'm a risk taking fun loving teenager, but its most likley stupidity.

SVT exhaust and K&N=all thats worth modding

Try a Miata in the snow, it really sucks. I couldn't even let off the clutch fully without it spinning. And that's not even giving it gas.

well i cant say anything good about this car in the snow, since the day i bought it from the ford dealership, its acted almost like a rwd....anytime i hit some slushy snow the back end seems to get really light and want to come around on me a very scary feeling when i had my 2 year old daughter in the back.........regardless anyone who has seen pics of my car realizes why i cant/dont drive in in the winter...i.e. i cant even fit my foot under a side skirt

I now also have a Zetec ATX. This seems a lot better than the Duratecs especially the SVTs with the wide tires. This year I went for snow tires on the SVT. Only snowed once since they have been on but was a big improvement. Of course the dry handling is not as good but this will only be for 3 months.

get some better speed rated tires and put them in the back and if you drive a great deal in the snow then get some blizzacks and put them on the back.
Also check the chamber back there making sure it is zero and not negavive

the 'Tour is ok in snow, just OK even with winter rubber and tends to want to take flight in cross winds. Running Michelin Ice thingy tires but the sidewalls almost feel unstable compared to my summer tires. Anyone else feel this on the road in winds? Guess I am used to the old tank, 81 Cougar. The snowplough could block my driveway (try anyway ) and she'd just eat the snowbank and run up the steep drive. "new" winter beater (82 Buick V8 RWD) is useless, fun but useless.
