Be original all you want, I wont tell you not to. But you have to realise that not everyone is going to like your ideas, or how the finished car is going to look. If you like that look, go right ahead. Several people dont like my painted reflector, but you dont see me putting the stock piece back on
Also realise that this site may have about 10 people that like spokes, especially on a Contour, so you wont get the greatest responses. Do watcha like.
