Congrats! If nothing else I have to admit I enjoyed reading this, really drummed up the suspense. I'm very impressed with a 14.7 something in the 1/4 mile. THose tires must really grip and the 15" wheels probably don't hurt either.

So with those "mods" and a new clutch, you were able to put down 14.7s??
That's pretty awesome. Because your ET is not that great.
Congratulations.

Yeah, E/T isn't the best (nothing to be disapointed about, though), I think once I put a little more wear on the clutch (felt a bit hard), get a SCT chip tuned properly, and run with less humidity, my E/T should be a bit higher. That... or an LSD would make a big diffrence. I was quite surprised, I had almost no traction issues and launched at about 2400... nothing higher. I think the combo of the Spec clutch, the EXTREMLY hot pavement (my laser temp guage said 106 degree at the surface) and the pretty sticky tires helped alot. On the 2nd run, the drivers side tire broke free a LITTLE bit, but quickly grabbed and "Recovered". i WISH I would have been able to get the torsen put in... maybe sometime soon, though.

Sorry, I didn't mean ET. I mean trap speed. Most cars doing low-mid 15s are going about 90 mph in the 1/4. How come yours is so slow?
