don't clear coat. Just wax the lights and you will be fine. The clear might chip and look funny with road abuse and sun light.

i did the bon ami treatment the other day... they may look slightly better but definetly not by a lot. maybe my lights were just too far gone to begin with, as the haze is reaaall cloudy and thick
any tips for the application?

If they're that far gone, break out the sandpaper and a bucket of water. Park yourself on the living room floor on some towels, and let the TV watching begin! It makes it much easier to take your time on each light (I spent an hour or more per light) and get it right.

Yeah, the Bon Ami treatment isn't meant as a replacement for sanding, just that if your lights aren't too bad, try it, and save yourself the time and money, it's just an alternative for people whose headlights were like mine, hazy, but not opaque, if the ami treatment didn't work, I suggest you get to wetsanding, and a lot of wetsanding at that, Bon Ami isn't expensive, so even though it didn't work, after you wetsand, if the haze ever starts to come back, or before you polish the lights, apply this treatment since it's quick, cheap, and extremely easy. Good luck.

They're that cheap now? I remember over $220 for both last time I checked. After all my mods next spring I might have to do that, I'm sick of my clear corners actually

Maybe we can do a switch. I have brand new lights on my SVT, I like the clear corners. What condition are your headlights in?
