http://www.onemilliondads.com/ford2.html  For those who don't want to click: Ford Does It Again! Company promotes child exploitation, adult/child sex A few weeks ago we encouraged you to email Ford Motor Company about their sponsorship of the program Will & Grace. Ford responded by saying they were happy to help sponsor award winning programs such as Will & Grace. Ford went on to say they value the diversity of their customers and employees including their sexual orientation. Evidently, Ford meant what they said. Recently Ford helped sponsor Will & Grace again. This time around Ford was pleased to financially support an episode where a father is helping his 12-year-old son find someone to have sex with. Will & Grace Here are some recent examples of the kind of filth Ford Motor Company is sponsoring on Will & Grace. (Warning! The material is extremely offensive!) , Be sure to forward this message on to your friends and family. We need to add more members so we can be more effective. Do it today. TV will continue getting worse until there are enough of us to make an impact in the pocketbook of the sponsors. Click Here To Send Your Letter To Ford Motor Company Now! Thanks for caring - and acting on your concerns. Together we can make a difference. Donald E. Wildmon NOTE: If you see a commercial or program which is offensive, email us information. Many of you did this last week and it is very helpful.

If you actually support these kind of shows, you need to get a life.... This kind of crap disgusts me... It seems like www.onemilliondads.com is standing up for values that have disappeared in today's society.

I can't stand anything with a laugh track. It doesn't matter what the content is. If I need someone to cue me what to laugh at, it's not good enough to watch. Wil and Grace fall into that catagory.
Oh, and for the MillionDads stuff, I think men actually giving a crap about their kids is pretty refeshing.
A kid is a product of their environment and parents. Genetics plays a part, but there is a chance the parents have the same genes :p
Just my honest opinion.

I always get a laugh out of that show. I don't really follow it, but the few times I seen it I liked it.
Just more people trying to force their version of 'political correctness'.

Just more people trying to force their version of 'political correctness'. Ok, Then are the folks who are saying, 'Don't shop at Home Depot because they won't sell to the US Government also trying to force a view of political correctness? See http://www.contour.org/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=38;t=007555;p= Seems to me that some people simply want customers/potential customer of Ford to know that they have choices in the market place and would like to buy from someone who will stand with them and support traditional family values. I don't see it as forcing any values. That happens when you try to legislate morality, for both liberal and conservative reasons. Sorry, but consumers trying to rally like minded consumers to buy and support businesses that share the same values can't be all bad. Otherwise, wouldn't you also have to condemn FUBU? TB

Just FYI, OneMillionDads is a project of the American Family Association, an organization with tight ties to organized religion. Not making a vlaue judgement about that fact, just offering it for perspective. Here are a few of the AFA's recent activities (from their website): Disney/ABC cancels the pro-homosexual show Ellen, for "lack of ratings." AFA led the campaign to encourage responsible advertisers to drop from the show. Let's pretend homosexuals don't exist. AFA promotes Pornography Awareness Week Sweet! I think we should all be aware of pornography AFA distributes 400,000 copies of the the "Fight Back Book," a comprehensive resource guide of TV advertisers, products and addresses. Let's hope none of their members get too extreme and use the addresses for other purposes, which similar groups have been known to do AFA supports and promotes Shatter the Silence, a national observance to bring attention to religious persecution throughout the world. Cool, let's hope they included religions other than Christianity in their efforts AFA leads efforts to expose abuses of tax dollars by National Endowment for the Arts. Who better to decide what constitutes art than a minister? :p The 43 Federal Prisons removed porn magazines from their commissaries after efforts by AFA supporters. And rapes immediately increased... In 1994, AFA launched a "war on divorce," by helping develop and distribute the Marriage Savers video series. It'd be funny if sexual aids were a part of this series AFA has sponsored several events reaching out to homosexuals and letting them know there is love and healing at the Cross of Christ. In other words, "you're a freak, but Jesus can help." [soapbox]Personally, I respect their ability to mobilize. However, I'd like to see more time spent educating/talking to your child about these issues instead of simply trying to pretend they don't exist.[/soapbox]

I think your last point is your best, that parents should be involve with their kids and talk to them.
I don't think my kids will have a TV in their rooms to watch anything they can tune in.
I personally, harbor no hatred against many of the groups mentioned here. I do have a big problem with many of these messages being made that it is ok to be (fill in the blank)
I think it is wrong for those against (fill in the blank) to resort to violence.
However, I am more than troubled that TV seems to glamorize the alternative lifestyles, yet it seems to treat the hard working, conservative father as a baffoon.
Simply my opinion, I don't agree with the stereotypical view of the conservative held by the popular media (spelled Archie Bunker)
I'll have to revisit this, I can't seem to put my thoughts together right now. It is a difficult subject, as there are so many angles.
However, I do want to remind everyone that dissent is not hate.
Many stoop to the ad-homynm attack that if you don't agree with my POV, then you must hate me. Very much untrue. I don't always agree with you, but heck, I don't think you could characterize me as hateful.

They are actively trying to educate people on moral issues. If anything, they are meeting the issues head-on. If the AFA wanted to pretend these issues didn't exist, they could just go crawl in a hole and cover their eyes/ears. Hey Viss1, Are you EdwardC's clone? (j/k)
