I have seen 112MPH on my 99 SE ATX in the past week.

Not smart at all....

Yes it is, it acts like a "rev limiter" feel when you hit 112, I have checked it about 5 times

110? I'm sure I've gone over 115 out in the eastern Oregon highways...um...and that is a certified race track....

Doubtful, speedo is not accurate especially at high speed. I bounced off the limiter a few times once, it was very smooth, nothing like hitting the rev limiter. It cut at an indicated speed of 108 or so. But that's totally inaccurate because my rev indicates a speed of between 110 and 115.

BTW, I know a free way of removing the speed limiter. It's works the best on a '95 because you won't loose the speedo. And I have gone over 130 this way.

so how do you get rid of the speed limiter, the only way i heard of is by getting a chip

Come on Bicycle019, you've read it already.

Just find splice any one of the three wires to a switch, cut the connection (flip the switch) when you have to go over. It's easier for '95 with cable driven VSS because you can just pull the connector altogether.

On mine it is governed at 117. The chip that I have does not by-pass the speed limiter.
