Are you saying in model year 1999 there was a mid-year switch to the returnless style?
If his car is indeed has a returnless system...I'm going to recommend not going with the Vortech on his SVT. Been there, done that.

You are correct sir. They switched to returnless mid 99. There is the turbo kit available for the returnless cars wich has been a very good performer just slightly more expensive, but also top quality.

3) How long for an install time? Did it take the advertised 10-14 hours?
4) What is the CFM rating for this blower @ 8-10psi?
5) Anyone have any after install dyno numbers WITH wideband air/fuel ratios?
Thanks for your time!:)
1) I dont think anyone has burned a piston yet...at least with the proper tuning.
2) As stated above yes
3) I think their time is pretty accurate. It took me about 14 hours total, although I worked about 14 hours over the course of a weekend.
4) Not sure about that one, I think they have cfm #'s at their website.
5) There might be a few dynos around with the Wideband O2, but I cant seem to find them right now.
The motor does not need to be dropped, but it helps to have small hands You actually have a bit of room, since you have to remove the radiator to relocate it and modify the fan shroud. Hope that helps.

After 4500rpm's can we say FUEL DUMP Some tuning could help there, especially where it hits 6000rpm, the unburnt fuel fumes must be insane behind you car at that point!

for sure, it stunk up the whole room on the dyno. Vortec must have programed the chip that way so there wouldn't be detonation in the upper RPMs. I'm looking into my options to lean it out some right now. I think there is some serious power being lost due to so much fuel. Cant be good on the cats either.

Its that FMU. My fuel pressure goes to 100psi! That has got to be dumping lotsa fuel in there.

I think we can get a different pressure plate for the FMU to lean it out some. Thats what I hear but I haven't researched it yet.

Yeah, they make a kit with a bunch of different ratio discs. I haven't bothered with it since I will be going to bigger injectors eventually.

It was May of 1999 when they went to a returnless fuel system.
