You only need mil eliminators if you do away with your precats. A y-pipe doesn't affect the precats.

ya but on an 02 cougar the o2 sensor is after the main cat iirc.

That would be different from the Contiques, but regardless of that, if you leave your three cats alone you will not need the mil eliminators.

I can't leave my cats alone. I have a 3 bolt flange therefore i have to use the one supplied by brullen. Which is prolly a high flow cat. That's why i am needing to know if i will need mil eliminators or not.
