I'm all for being on the fence and adapting to changes as they come, however, no expectations is just knocking on the door to low expectations...after awhile, you'll come to expect that bad things to happen to you. There is plenty of research on the benefits of remaining hopeful during adversity across both medical and behavioral fields...
