I want the Elite version, but I have the CF cowl hood that matches the Nascar trunk. Does anyone know the weight, or does Redline have in on file?

The weight of the struts or your hood?

The struts are very light weight. And for what ever it's worth the quicklift kit works fine with a CF hood. You just have to be careful when pulling down the hood to close it

To clarify, I wanted to know the weight of the CF cowl hood, so Redline can get me the correct rate struts.
 
Yea...I'm going to have to get the weight the CF EVO as well.

C'mon guys lets get ATLEAST 10 so I can get in on this and save some $ on the Elites :D.

Very cool guys! Im going to give it one more week so we can go for 20. I think we have a few on Neco too :)
 
Bah! I should prolly order a set of struts for my Evo hood. I'm too lazy to dust it off and weigh it though. Anyone else have a fiberglass Evo hood?

I don't really want to pull mine off either. Anyone have a shipping weight on some of these it should be pretty close. I've got a cf oem hood off i can weigh tonight, but I need the weight on an evo fiberglass hood as well.

To those with Carbon Fiber Hoods:

Don't stress about the exact weight of the hood as we only have one pressure gas spring below our standard kit. They are half the force of our standard spring and we can't go any lower on force. So if those are still too strong (I doubt it) then the kit won't work with CF hoods.

i ordered a set of redline struts a couple years ago on ebay. how do i know what kind they are? is there a part number somewhere on them? they're all black
